This month we focus on the talents of

Shelley Benjamin

Shelley is one of the newer members of our club. We are honored to have such a talented woman drive for as long as she does to make our meetings.

She is a multi-talented woman who finds stamping, paper, and collage to be very exciting. Here paper collections and art supplies are put to good use when working on cards, books, and scenic images. Lately she has been exploring embellishments and other related media.

A few of Shelley's favorite tips are: "To reduced the mess when I emboss, I place the item to be embossed inside a box top to catch flying embossing powder.

I always color using light, medium, and dark colors. If people squint when looking at nature images, they will begin to see the light medium and dark values in nature and that will help their coloring."

This is one example of the outstanding work which Shelley does. To see more of her work and of our members, visit our gallery pages.

Some of My Favorites!

I have been stamping for 20 years (seriously for 3).

Fave images include design elements, and scenic stamps.

Stamping is purely creative and meditative to do. I like to work with color.

I also like travel, art museums, and reading(science fiction and mysteries).

Fave stamping tools are colored pencils, gold materials (Pearl ex, etc), my brayer, and polymer clay.
